Parent FAQ
Does it cost anything?
No. Camp is free, and giving is always optional and separate. It never affects whether a child gets a spot or how they are coached.
Who can attend?
For players ages 11 to 13 on camp day (Nov. 28, 2026). Younger or older players are welcome to apply and will be placed on the waitlist for any open spots; we’ll let you know after you apply. We use actual age on camp day, not league age. Families of all income levels are welcome, and we work especially hard to reach kids with fewer opportunities. Space is limited.
My child is younger than 11 or older than 13. Can they apply?
Yes. Players ages 11 to 13 on camp day are our priority. Younger or older players are welcome to apply and will be placed on the waitlist for any open spots; we’ll let you know after you apply.
Does my child need to be on a travel team?
No. Players of all experience levels who love the game are welcome.
Where and when?
Saturday, Nov. 28, 2026, 10:00 AM–3:30 PM at the Bishop O’Connell High School baseball field in Arlington. Parking is marked on the parking map: the lot beside the baseball field, and along N Trinidad St and 26th St N. Check-in and drop-off details will go to families who apply. Check-in and drop-off: to be confirmed
What is the schedule for the day?
Here is our draft camp-day schedule, hour by hour. It is tentative, and we will confirm the final schedule before camp.
What should my player bring?
A glove, a bat if they have one, cleats or sneakers, a water bottle and warm layers. Late November can be cold. Lunch is included, so there’s no need to pack one.
What if the weather is bad?
We’ll share the weather plan before camp. An indoor option depends on the venue and is still being confirmed. Any changes go to families by email.
Who coaches the camp?
Campers are coached by Division I college baseball players. 2026 coaches and guests will be announced. Bishop O’Connell High School baseball players help out in a supporting role.
Who supervises the campers?
The adults who work with campers are chosen by the Camp Director and are given a camp-day safety briefing. No adult is ever alone with a camper out of sight of others.
Can parents watch?
Parents are welcome to stay and watch, and no adult is ever alone with a camper out of sight of others.
Will my child get feedback or results?
If your player takes part in optional skill testing, results are shared privately with your family and never posted publicly.
Is lunch provided?
Yes, lunch is included. Invited families will get details on how to tell us about allergies.
Will there be guest speakers or a parent session?
2026 coaches and guests will be announced. See who joined us in 2025 on the Highlights page. In 2025, parents joined campers to hear our guest speakers. 2026 plans for a parent session: to be announced.

Will there be photos?
The camp waiver every family signs includes permission for camp photos and video.
How will I hear about changes?
